Mini Anchor Charts

Mini Anchor Charts - Teaching conjunctions in first grade requires lots of anchor charts! Web anchor charts are vibrant, visually engaging posters that are hung on the walls of the classroom. Once young readers move on from word recognition to reading for meaning, a whole new world opens up. We all make anchor charts with our students for reading. Reading is both an art and a science in so many ways. Students will often reference the word and meaning throughout the lesson and they know just where to look to find it. These handy charts display lessons, strategies, and key concepts in ways that are easily accessible to all students. Typically, there is a vocabulary word to teach prior to any mini lesson taught at the small group table. Help students learn about characters, setting, main ideas, context, and more. Use procedural anchor charts to highlight routines and systems within your writing workshop block.
